Fade control films UVA radiation passes through glass and is one of the major causes of fading. The other major factors being heat and visible light. Artifacts, furnishings, fabrics and documents are therefore at risk of fading from sunlight passing through windows.
Llumar® fade reduction films are a cost-effective way to protect your premises from fading. Specialist clear films can block in excess of 99.9% of harmful ultraviolet radiation, whilst solar control films block 99.5% of UV as well as rejecting heat, and reducing visible light - leaving a pleasantly lit working or display environment. CPFilms’ accelerated testing indicates that the films still reject 98% of UV radiation after 20 hours of exposure in a xenon-accelerated test chamber. This roughly equates to 3-5 years of normal exposure, depending on location.
