Glare reduction films

Glare is the visual discomfort or distress experienced in the presence of a source of visible light. Glare levels will vary from person to person and place to place, but in general, where glare is at distress levels for one or two people, it will be a discomfort for everyone.

Glare reduction is the percentage reduction in visible light transmission through glazing, from glass without film to that with film.

As a general rule, the following glare reductions are required:

  • Regulations arising from European Directive 89/654/EEC
