Shade film

Llumar® shade film offers flexibility for specifiers looking to create constant and comfortable working environments, however changeable the solar conditions might be.

The end user can control their environment by simply opening or closing window blinds whenever they wish; blinds using shade film combine remarkable sunlight control with advanced transparency.

The clear advantage of Llumar® shade films is the combination of transparency with low visible light transmissions – something not always a feature of blind systems. The films can be also used in roller, pleated or vertical blind systems to suit any interior environment.

With qualities capable of rejecting up of 85% of unwanted solar heat gain in the summer, Llumar® shade film will maintain stable, reasonable temperatures with clear benefits:

  • more comfortable work environment for staff
  • reduced air conditioning costs
  • help with compliance with Regulation 7 of the Workplace (Health Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992

Shade films also reject 98% of unwanted glare, so aiding compliance with Display Screen Equipment Regulations (arising from Directive 89/654/EEC) and reducing eye strain and fatigue amongst staff.

By blocking 99% of UV radiation, Llumar® shade film will also protect furnishings and fabrics from fading.
