Edge retention

Although safety film can mitigate the risks from flying glass in the event of an explosion or breakage, it is only part of the solution. Film will hold the glass together, but unless it is anchored to the frame, the whole pane can simply fall out, putting people and property at risk.

Frame/Lok is a patented batten system designed to anchor anti-shatter film to the frame of a window system. It is made from galvanised zintec steel, which is then powder coated for a tough and durable finish complete with a high bond acrylic double-sided tape system for adhesion to the window frame and filmed glass.

When Llumar® performance security film and Frame/Lok are combined, the elastic effect and physical bond of both units eliminates the likelihood of the filmed glass collapsing.
